Queer as Folk Description
Based on the British series of the same name, Showtime's 'Queer as Folk' presents the American version. Following the lives of five gay men in Pittsburgh, 'Queer as Folk' is a riveting drama full of sex, drugs, adventure, friendship and love. Although the creators of 'Queer as Folk' wanted to present an honest depiction of gay life, it is by no means a comprehensive depiction. In addition to the usual sexual escapades and relationships of the five friends, the show explores critical gay political and health issues.

Everyone is aware of the pre-judices against homosexuals and how they are scorned upon. This series however is delightfully entertaining and tells us, they are just as human as straight people are, only more foward with their emotions and feelings....One does require an open-mind to watch this series....Not to mention the twisted love stories that is hidden in the bigger picture...truly heartbreaking at times.....If you want to experience emotion in every way, love, hate, prejudice, acceptance, religon it is all here...

I love the show. The set is great, very nice design . The DVD holder is not very good, some DVD are fall out but still play perfectly. Highly recommend, way cheaper than individual season

this series is not intended for gay-people only but for anyone who enjoy friendship, passions and the meaning of living its own life against all odds and prejudices. Some scenes may be too strong for straight people but they are real, since love - and thus sex - is real. Sex is part of everyone life, should not be a surprise it is such important part in gay life either. I don't think the series is meant to somehow "convince" straight people to accept the gay life. It is just a "there we are, and we stand, whatever you may think or do, like it or not.".
